You desire a delicious dessert but when you open the fridge the only thing you find is the echo of your voice! You need only 4 ingredients to have a yoghurt cake with a particular and tasty texture.
I was so curious to test this cake in a different version of the classical ones, you just need yoghurt, cornflour and eggs.
I tried to make the cake a few times, to get the desired result, the only most critical part of the recipe is the baking but if you follow the instructions, you won’t have problems.
The cake will drop a little, but it’s okay, taste it warm or from the fridge with your favorite fruits, honey, maple or agave syrup or chocolate.

Ingredients
- 4 Medium eggs
- 60 g Cornflour
- 80 g Caster sugar
- 400 g White yoghurt
- Lemon or orange zest
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
Instructions
- All ingredients must be at room temperature.Separate the eggs. In a bowl, whisk the egg whites until stiff and firm, then set it aside. In another bowl, beat up the sugar with the egg yolk until you get a firm cream. Add the yoghurt and mix with the electric mixer to low speed. At the end, add the sifted cornflour and continue to mix the mixture for 3 minutes. Now you can add the egg whites a little at a time bottom-up.
- Prepare a cake tin with butter and put the mixture on it (you can use baking paper instead of the fat, but only on the edges). Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 160 degrees for about 70-80 minutes, adding boiling water to the baking tray (about 800 ml). Once the time has passed, let the cake in the oven for about 10 minutes and then remove it.
